All About Shipping

CAN YOU PLEASE PACK MY ITEM SAFELY?
Once an item is listed in our store we already made sure it is ready to be adopted into your collection. We checked on authenticity, cleaned if necessary and wrapped it up carefully. Obviously it doesn’t stop there: after hitting that order button we pack up the item well protected to make sure it can withstand the whole international route full of postal handlers, conveyer belts, bad weather and (possibly careless) delivery staff.

WHAT IS STANDARD SHIPPING?
The standard shipping option is per (sometimes partially) tracked standard air mail, handled by Korea Post on our side and the national postal service of your country on your side. Delivery times do vary per country and sometimes per season. To the USA and Europe it generally takes between 6 and 12 days.

WHAT IS EMS?
EMS is the express service handled by the national postal services, so Korea Post on our side and the national postal service of your country on your side. This is per tracked airmail. Delivery times do vary per country. To the USA, Australia and Europe it generally takes between 3 and 9 days, to other countries it can take a bit longer.

WHAT IS UPS?
Not all countries are currently served by standard air mail and/or EMS. UPS does serve by far most countries, so for buyers there or for the buyers desiring some extra speedy delivery, we also offer delivery per UPS. This is a tracked service that we use via Korea Post, so the initial tracking number you will receive is one from Korea Post, once UPS takes over (usually within a working day or 2) a new UPS-style tracking code will be generated. Delivery times do differ per country, while it only takes a few days to the USA, it can take longer to some other countries.

HOW DO I CHECK THE TRACKING?
All shipping options come with tracking. You will find the tracking number in the e-mail that confirms your order has been processed, and on your order page on your account page. Click on the link there to view the tracking, which will be linked to the carrier in your country. You alternatively could use a convenient all-tracking website like 17track.net and use your tracking number there. If there is an issue with your shipment, please check with your local carrier first. If things get too complicated or urgent you can reach out to us and we will help where we can. In case we get your package returned undelivered we will get in touch with you immediately via the e-mail address that you used for your order.

CAN I GET THE ORDER SHIPPED TO A FORWARDER IN KOREA?
Our online store is fully focused on shipping precious Korean items to the rest of the world, but we can make an exception and ship it to a, Korean forwarder/address. For most countries however we strongly recommend to have your order shipped directly to your home address, which generally is fast, safe and economical. If you do choose to have it shipped to a Korean address, please provide the address in Korean and include a Korean telephone number of the receiving party.

HOW ABOUT TAXES?
At the moment non-Korean taxes are not prepaid via our web store. This means that if you are in a country that charges VAT and/or import tax, these could be charged to you via the postal service that delivers your package. Every country has their own rules, so check those out if you are not sure about the ins and outs. American buyers won’t be charged taxes for orders under 800 USD, while in the European Union all amounts are currently taxed. If you are in a country – by example Brazil – that requires personal tax numbers to be included on incoming packages, please add the tax number in your address details when you order.

Going forward in 2025 a 10% Korean VAT is now applied to shipments within South Korea. This webstore originally focused on serving collectors outside of Korea, but with the increase of shipments to South Korea we are required to pay VAT on those orders (as we can’t prove we exported these items).
